N.K Music, Tell Us About The Time You Made Your First Beat?
I made my first beat at around 2014, I was about 14 years old. I used FL Studio 11 I believe, and it was completely awful. I remember giving it up in late 2016/early 2017 before I came back and tried again late 2017.
Which Artists Or Producers Inspired You To Start Making Beats?
Kanye West has always inspired me as his production style is always cutting edge and influential, he’s always coming up with new stuff.
Which Digital Audio Workstation Are You Using?
What Other Equipment Or Software Do You Use To Make Your Instrumental Tracks?
I pretty much use FL stock plugins and my keyboard and that’s it.
How Long Does It Take You To Make A Completed Track On Average?
It takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour to complete a track, and about half of that is mixing while the other is creating/arranging.
Do You Use Samples? If Yes, Where Do You Source Your Samples From?
I use samples from Splice, Looperman, and any packs I can find if they’re good and cheap.
Tell Us About Your Process Of Working With Sounds /Samples And Building Beats...
I usually start with a melody whether it be handmade or sample based. After, I build the drums around it, and mix the drums around it.
What Is Your Greatest Success As A Beatmaker?
My greatest success would be my beat titled “Noelle” on my YouTube channel. It has over 1.5 million views and catapulted me to where I am today. I am extremely blessed for it and without it, I would be nowhere.
Which Platform Do You Use To Sell Beats?
I use Airbit because it is the most aesthetically pleasing to me, and is the one that I saw my favorite producers using.
Have You Ever Dreamed Of Being On The Top Of The Charts? Or Is Hip hop Production More Of A Hobby & Passion Project For You?
My goal is just to make a living off of this day in and day out.
How Do You Manage To Fit Beat Making Into Your Daily Routine?
I am an introvert at heart and don’t do much or go out much, so I have plenty of time on my hands to make music. It’s the only thing I really do.
What Is Your Single Biggest Challenge As A Hip Hop Beatmaker /Producer?
Being consistent with quality. I am still getting better at that.
Have You Ever Thought About Quitting? If So, What Made You Continue With Your Grind?
I did in 2016 because I was getting nowhere with anything. I started back in 2017 because this is what I wanted to do and I was gonna do it or die.
Is There Something That You Do To Stay Inspired To Ensure You Keep Make Music Day After Day?
Knowing without it I would be lonely, sad, and without any source of income.
Do You Have Any Advise For Up And Coming Beatmakers Who Are On Their Daily Grind For Beat Sales?
Never stop no matter what. Good things come to those who work hard.
Are You Open To Potential Collaborations With Other Artists And Beatmakers? What Style Of Artist Is Best Suited To Your Style Of Production?
I am open to collaborate with anyone. Hip-Hop or Trap would be the style I would be suited for.
